1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Self-Taught OS ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
2. Description of Service
Self-Taught OS provides market-aligned job simulations, skill tracking, and public portfolio profiles for self-taught developers. The Platform includes free and paid subscription tiers.
3. User Accounts
You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must be at least 16 years old to use the Platform.
4. Intellectual Property
You retain full ownership of all code, demos, writeups, and case studies you create through job simulations. Self-Taught OS does not claim ownership of your work. You grant us a limited license to display your public profile content on the Platform.
5. Subscriptions and Billing
Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe. Founding Member pricing is locked at the rate at the time of purchase for as long as the subscription remains active. You may cancel your subscription at any time through the membership management page. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to: submit plagiarized work, misrepresent your identity, attempt to exploit or disrupt the Platform, or use the service for any unlawful purpose. Violations may result in account suspension or termination.
7. Disclaimers
The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Self-Taught OS does not guarantee employment outcomes. Job simulations are educational tools and do not constitute professional certification.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Self-Taught OS shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform.
9. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Material changes will be communicated via email or Platform notification.
